jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) must be a moral agent of Pancasila and be critical when the implementation of Pancasila values is abused in national and state life.
Pancasila as the ideology of the Indonesian nation must be the spirit and reference in national development and state life.
“Like oxygen, the values and spirit of Pancasila must enter and inspire all lines of policy and its implementation,” said the Chancellor of the International Islamic University of Indonesia (UIII) Komaruddin Hidayat in Jakarta.
According to the former Chancellor of UIN, BPIP in the future must be able to voice critical voices when intellectuals and the campus world remain silent.
BPIP must be a moral agent when there are deviations from the implementation of Pancasila values.
“Therefore, a roadmap and strategic steps are needed from BPIP as well as instruments to oversee and promote Pancasila, especially departments that are directly related to BPIP such as the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and Ministry of Home Affairs,” he said.
So far, Komarudin added, BPIP has not synergized or collaborated strategically with ministries and institutions in this country.
“So what then happened was that BPIP became nothing more than a research center whose presence was not felt in society,” he stressed.
