The notion of a “system” is often used to refer to a set of practices and structures that we criticize, without always realizing that we are an integral part of them. The real challenge we face is to understand that this system, which we denounce, is largely made up of our own behaviors and choices.
Indeed, every time we talk about democracy while scorning contradiction, we embody this system. When we advocate public hygiene while throwing our garbage in the street, we contribute to this same system. We claim to want peaceful demonstrations while being violent ourselves; we want reforms while cheating or corrupting. All these behaviors, whether they are those of a student, a teacher, a civil servant, or even a minister, perpetuate the system we criticize.
This observation extends to every aspect of our social and professional lives. Whether you are a shopkeeper refusing to pay your taxes, a parent who bribes a teacher, or a citizen who votes based on race rather than merit, you are participating in this system. When we call for peaceful marches while allowing violence and destruction, we become actors in this chaos.
Real change will not come from outside alone, but from our own ability to reform ourselves. It is by questioning our own behaviors and taking individual responsibility that we can hope to have a positive impact on our communities.
Our fight against the system begins with personal introspection and a sincere desire to correct our own shortcomings. Only an internal transformation will allow a true collective transformation.
We must therefore “change for the sake of change”. By showing respect, responsibility and serenity, we will be able to build a fairer and more coherent society.
We are all part of this system, and it is our responsibility to transform ourselves to enable real progress.
Our center of gravity remains and continues to be the Republic of Guinea, our citizen efforts must go in this direction. And let us refuse this eternal pessimism that is gaining momentum in our daily lives, the direction of the march that we will draw for our country is inevitably linked to our future, it is not the extraterrestrials who will come to do the work in our place.
Let us make an effort to align ourselves with the values of our society, with the guiding principles of the Republic.
