Increased attention to health encourages expanding the range of sports services
In recent years, more and more wellness clinics and sports clubs have been established in the capital, people are looking for and sharing information about a healthy lifestyle, exercise, and trying new sports.
“Health and longevity are not only trends, but also a way of life for most people today. With society’s growing focus on healthy living and taking care of their health, more and more people are hitting the gym to look and feel better. Therefore, for several years now, we have been observing an increasing interest in the swimming pool, which is chosen not only by those who want to learn to swim, but also by people who care about their health and posture. We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to get a full package of physical activity in our shopping and entertainment center, so opening a sports club became a completely natural step in planning development”, says PPC OZAS manager Ina Augulienė.
The fast pace of life leads to the fact that even people who are motivated to do sports do not always have the opportunity to devote time to it. Therefore, convenience is a very important aspect here, the more convenient the place, the more likely you will be able to fit training into your schedule. The location of PPC OZAS, parking options and a wide selection of shops and service salons make it possible to perform several tasks at the same time and save time and energy.
“We aim to provide our visitors with the widest possible range of services and entertainment. While one family member is shopping, the other can take the children to the pool and go to work out, relax in the sauna, and later have a snack together and even watch a movie,” says I.Augulienė.
Sports club – for those who exercise both day and night
The new life model dictated by the pandemic, where some people work remotely or in a hybrid way, has formed new habits and the need to look at the work schedule more flexibly. According to Mantas Badikonis, director of the GYM+ chain of sports clubs, the boundaries between work and leisure are no longer so clear, this change has led to an increase in the number of people who devote time to sports at any time of the day.
“GYM+ aims for as many people as possible to take care of their health and engage in physical activity. By operating around the clock, we give even the most busy people the opportunity to find an hour of time for themselves, undisturbed by work or family needs. In the past, we could single out the peak hours when the largest number of athletes gather, today people choose to train both early in the morning and late at night. In addition, exercising during off-peak hours can provide a sense of peace and solitude, provide an opportunity for self-reflection and a kind of meditation,” says M. Badikonis.
From exercise to rest
Only highly qualified trainers will work in the sports club, who will offer individual exercises and invite you to group training sessions. Their choice will be extremely wide. Customers will be able to choose a variety of workouts according to the style, duration and personal capacity that suits them. The sports club will be open not only around the clock, but also throughout the year, so even on holidays, customers will be able to maintain their exercise regime without interruption, which is necessary for achieving results.
“Many of our customers lead active lives and don’t have much free time. We want them to be able to exercise as well as relax in this sports club, so we are planning two separate saunas for men and women”, Mantas Badikonis, director of the GYM+ network of sports clubs, reveals the plans.
As in other GYM+ sports clubs, automated engineering systems will be installed in this one, which are specially programmed according to the flow of customers in order to save energy resources. The modern lighting model used will also save electricity costs.
