Al-Quds: “Summer Schools” program continues in the Old City

More than 300 children from different neighborhoods of the old city participated in lessons on ball handling, inflatable games and a puppet theater dealing with the benefits of preserving water, trees and biodiversity.

Maqdissi children also benefited from training on firefighting, as part of the “Fazaa” project, funded by the Agency for Training in Emergency Situations. These trainings aim to raise awareness on best practices in case of emergency and to learn how to help others in times of need.

This summer school program sponsored by the “Children’s Club for Al-Quds” under the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, is set up for the benefit of more than 4,000 children, spread across 17 establishments, deployed in all the districts of the Holy City.

This year’s activities range from educating the values ​​of shaping the child’s personality, honesty, perseverance and diligence to contribute to building society, respecting family constants, preserving traditions and customs, and protecting and preserving local identity.

The choice of schools was based on compliance with safety and security standards, in order to provide the beneficiary children, aged 6 to 14, with a stimulating environment that allows them to release their energy and reveal their talents in the fields of sport and art, through 150 art, theater and balance and intelligence games workshops, supervised by professional trainers.
