jpnn.comSERANG – Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar reacted firmly to the commotion surrounding an official from the Banten Province Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) with the initials BR who had carried out illegal levies (pungli) of IDR 1.8 billion.

Al Muktabar also stated that the legal process for the official was ongoing.

“We are carrying out the legal process. So, the law that will be put forward, in addition to the personnel aspect, will also continue to examine the employee aspect,” said Al Muktabar in Serang, Banten, Monday (19/8).

His party is currently investigating alleged violations committed by BR from an employee perspective.

He ensured that he would implement disciplinary sanctions after conducting a cross-check.

However, Al Muktabar has not explained further what the punishment will be for this individual.

He said the cross-checking process would take time. Because, the incident was not located in the Banten Provincial Government.

“It takes time because it’s not in Banten, if it’s in Banten, we’ll quickly cross-check. If it’s in another region, maybe I have to contact the regional head, or related work units or individuals,” said Muktabar.
