However, a few weeks after the athlete’s death, the news appeared that K. Chveduk was involved in a conflict shortly before his death.
According to local officials, a fight broke out between several young men. Officials avoided commenting on their reasons and circumstances. In the case shrouded in mystery at the beginning of July, criminalists did not see direct and unequivocal links between this incident and the football player’s death.
We remind you that at the beginning of July, the chief prosecutor of the First Criminal Prosecution Department of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office, Auksė Lipkevičienė, told the portal lrytas.lt assured that the pre-trial investigation was not reclassified due to premeditated murder.
In the same month, the General Prosecutor’s Office announced that the rumors about the football player’s murder were just speculation.
“Untrue information has been published in the public space,” the statement said.
However, in the show of blogger Skirmantas Malinauskas “Skylėta Contribee, Kizelevičiaus aferos, Chveduk’s murderer”, which appeared at the end of last week, he reveals new details of this confusing story.
Having interviewed Vilija Kavaliauskienė, the lawyer of the football player’s mother, S. Malinauskas revealed that this story turned in a different direction again.
“The cause of death is indicated to be completely different – due to the violence suffered. And as far as I know, the citizen has been charged with murder,” said V. Kavaliauskienė.
The lawyer added that the conclusions of the death examination were changed due to the fact that previously the medical examiner had submitted conclusions based only on his discretion.
“Experts of the Vilnius Medical Service point out that in the case of violent injuries, it is impossible to evaluate them through the prism of spontaneous death. First of all, there should have been an assessment through the prism of the violence experienced. The report of experts states that it is for this reason that the previous conclusions are incorrect,” continued the lawyer interviewed by S. Malinauskas.
We remind you that the defender spent a large part of his career in the “Sūduva” team, with which he became the Lithuanian champion in 2017, won the LFF Cup and the LFF Super Cup in 2009. During his career, he also played in clubs in Poland, Croatia, as well as in Malta and Finland, and he added to his trophy shelf while playing in Ireland, where he became the national champion and cup winner with Dundalk in 2018.
He played 20 matches in the Lithuanian national team from 2012 to 2019.
