Polio drops
Polio drops are being given nationwide to children under the age of 5 to eradicate juvenile rheumatism. Accordingly, specialized centers have been set up in Dindigul district to provide polio drops to children at 1,313 places across the district such as government hospitals, primary health centers, ancillary health centers, nutrition centers and schools.
Children were given polio drops at these centers from 7 am to 5 pm today. In addition, polio drops were distributed at 28 mobile vaccination camps and 51 transport camps. For this 5 thousand 276 employees were assigned throughout the district.

In Dindigul, Collector Visakhan started a polio vaccination camp at the Corporation’s Kamala Nehru Hospital and spoke about giving polio drops to children. Then he said: –
1 lakh 94 thousand 958 people are to be vaccinated against polio in Dindigul district. There is a reserve of 2 lakh 56 thousand doses of medicine for this. For children from birth to 5 years of age, parents can give the drops to their children by attending the camps that are currently being conducted in additional installments, no matter how many times the drops have been given so far.

The camp at the bus stand was inspected by Natham Regional Medical Officer Zak Abdullah. He was accompanied by Health Superintendent Maharajan and health inspectors and staff.
