Relaxation of Covid Restrictions | Further relaxations in Kovid restrictions; 100% access to restaurants and movie theaters

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has relaxed the covid restrictions. This comes at a time when there is a significant drop in Kovid cases in the state. Bars, hotels, restaurants and other eateries will have 100% access. Theaters in the state were also allowed to operate at 100 per cent sitting capacity.

The practice of dividing districts into different categories based on the number of Kovid patients in the hospital has been abolished. The order states that a maximum of 1,500 people can attend all public events.

Today, Kovid19 has 2524 people

In Kerala, Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 2524 persons in Ernakulam 393, Thiruvananthapuram 356, Kottayam 241, Kozhikode 220, Kollam 215, Thrissur 205, Idukki 160, Pathanamthitta 142, Alappuzha 137, Kannur 121, Malappuram 113, Wayanad 101, Palakkad 96 and Kasaragod 24 districts. The disease was confirmed today.

34,680 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 1,05,780 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,03,592 are under home / institutional quarantine and 2188 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 258 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Of the current 29,943 Kovid cases, only 7.2 per cent are hospitalized / field hospitals.

Three deaths in the last 24 hours have been confirmed to be due to Kovid-19. In addition, 13 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 46 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 65,223.

Today, 8 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 2387 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 107 is not clear. Twenty-two health workers were affected by the disease.

A total of 5499 patients who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 961, Kollam 253, Pathanamthitta 277, Alappuzha 283, Kottayam 379, Idukki 425, Ernakulam 881, Thrissur 522, Palakkad 296, Malappuram 330, Kozhikode 423, Wayanad 287, Kannur 106 and Kasaragod 76 were cured. With this, 29,943 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 64,01,236 have so far been freed from Kovid.
