After reviewing the data of the central bank, it was found that the amount of remittances received in the country till August 17, 15 crore 29 lakh 50 thousand through state-owned banks, 3 crore 76 lakh 90 thousand through a specialized bank, 94 crore 14 through private banks. 30 lakhs and 21 lakh 50 thousand US dollars came through foreign banks.

In July, the first month of fiscal year 2024-25, remittances of USD 1,913,580,000 came into the country, which is the lowest in the previous 10 months. Earlier, in September 2023, remittances came in at $1.33 billion.
