Actor Jung Hae-in said he felt nervous when he received the casting offer for the movie ‘Veteran 2’.
At the production report meeting for the movie ‘Veteran 2’ (directed by Ryu Seung-wan) held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 20th, Jung Hae-in responded, “I was so nervous” when asked about his first time working with director Ryu Seung-wan and Hwang Jung-min.
He continued, “When I first got the offer, I didn’t know it was this project. The director said he wanted to work on a fun project together and that it would be nice if we could meet, so I went to see him with a trembling heart, and that’s when he told me it was ‘Veteran 2. ‘ My first feeling was so happy and excited,” and explained, “I felt my heart warming up, and I remember looking forward to the filming date.”
Jung Hae-in said that this film also contains the intense action scenes characteristic of the ‘Veteran’ series. He said, “There are a lot of dense and deep actions. You said it was orthopedic action, but although I didn’t do much action on set, it was the safest set among all the works I’ve done.” He added, “The reason I was able to let out my all and have fun was because I felt psychologically stable. My senior (Hwang Jung-min) and I could have fun within the set plans, but there were a lot of the most systematic and precise action scenes.”
‘Veteran 2’ is an action crime investigation drama that depicts the process of the youngest detective Park Sun-woo (Jung Hae-in) joining the violent crimes investigation unit of veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (Hwang Jung-min), who catches bad guys to the end, and chasing a serial killer who has caused a stir in the world. It is the sequel to ‘Veteran’ that came out in 2015. Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in play the lead roles.
‘Veteran 2’ will be released on September 13th.
