A Dodge vehicle will once again offer a V8 HEMI engine in 2025; it is the Dodge Durango, Dodge’s mid-size SUV with 3 rows of seats. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Dodge Durango, the manufacturer has decided to offer it in 2 special edition versions, namely the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet and Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary 2025. These two trims probably mark the end of the model as we know it.
According to Dodge, these two new models pay tribute to the marriage of the Dodge Durango and the HEMI engine. They join a plethora of other versions ranging from the V6-powered SXT to the Premium SRT Hellcat sold for nearly $135,000.
“The HEMI engine has powered the Dodge Durango for 20 years, and the available 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI Hellcat V8 turns the Durango into the most powerful SUV ever designed,” said Matt McAlear, CEO of the Dodge brand at Stellantis. “The Dodge Durango and the HEMI engine form a powerful duo, and with this announcement, Dodge continues to provide HEMI power to enthusiasts and families.”
2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet
The first version, the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet, is sold at a base price of $155,130, making it the most expensive and powerful Dodge Durango ever offered. It undoubtedly represents one of the last chances to acquire a Hellcat-powered vehicle.
As its name suggests, it pushes the limits of performance, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds and completing a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds. Under the hood, it receives the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces 710 horsepower; it is paired with an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
Offered in the exterior color Triple Nickel and produced in limited series, the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet features special finishes that add to a suite of premium standard features from the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat. Unique elements in this special edition of the Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet include:
- a satin black painted hood;
- metallic gray SRT Hellcat emblems;
- black SRT exhaust tips;
- a Brembo braking system with red-painted 6-piston calipers;
- 20-inch wheels with “Lights Out” finish;
- red Nappa leather seats, presented for the first time in a Durango SRT;
- a dashboard wrapped in premium materials and forged carbon fiber interior accents;
- a suede-wrapped steering wheel with silver and sepia stitching;
- a suede headliner;
- double silver and sepia stitching.
Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary 2025
If you want a somewhat less extravagant model and, above all, less expensive, you can turn to the 2025 Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary, which is offered at a base price of $87,580 including fees.
This special edition is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that produces 360 horsepower. Four exterior colors are available, and the model includes additional options and equipment, including a power sunroof and a high-end Alpine audio system featuring 9 speakers.
The model also stands out with a good towing capacity of 3,950 kilograms (8,700 pounds). Unlike the Hellcat version, the 20th Anniversary trim is available in two variations with different equipment levels.
The two special editions of the Dodge Durango are on sale now but are offered in limited quantities.
