In this context, several local associations and social and civil actors called on the inhabitants of the city to fulfill this humanitarian and societal duty and to contribute to collecting the necessary quantities of blood, in order to save the victims of the earthquake which struck several provinces of the Kingdom.

In this regard, they urged citizens to go en masse to the Regional Blood Transfusion Center or to the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center (CHU), which has set up a blood donation unit for this purpose.

Donor Fatima Boulaich stressed that blood donation, in addition to being an urgent necessity in these difficult circumstances that many regions of the Kingdom are going through, is a mark of cohesion and solidarity with the victims, noting that this humanitarian and civic initiative must continue over time and become a habit among capable people.

For his part, young Taoufil Taawati affirmed that solidarity is one of the fundamental values of Moroccan society, stressing that he came this morning to the Blood Transfusion Center to donate his blood, in order to help disaster victims in the different regions of the Kingdom.

As for Larbi Karkich, he assured that blood donation is a national and religious duty to which most Moroccans are attached, and that many are used to donating their blood, noting that citizens should not be content with donating their blood only in these difficult circumstances, but they must get used to this kind of initiatives.

For Sanae B., this is a humanitarian and solidarity initiative towards the victims, stressing that all Moroccans are ready to fulfill their duty, through individual or collective initiatives, in consecration of the values of solidarity and mutual aid which characterize Moroccan society.

In addition, associations in the city of Tangier have launched civil initiatives aimed at collecting aid for the victims of the Al Haouz earthquake, including blankets and basic food products, which will then be sent to the disaster areas.
