Hamas sees Biden’s statements as a green light for Israel to continue the war in Gaza /

“Hamas” announced that the US president’s “misleading statements (..) do not reflect the true position of the movement, as it wants to reach an agreement on a ceasefire”. The group called Biden’s remarks “an American green light for the Zionist extremist government to commit more crimes against defenseless civilians.”

Last year on October 7, “Hamas” organized a massacre in the south of Israel, murdering about 1200 people. The terrorists also took about 250 hostages. In response to the massacre, Israel launched a massive military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is currently in Egypt. He met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday and will later travel to Qatar, which is mediating the Gaza ceasefire talks with Egypt.

Hamas said it was determined to abide by the cease-fire plan that Biden outlined on May 31, claiming it had been initiated by Israel. The latest changes to the plan, proposed by the United States, were betrayed by Hamas as a reversal of the previous plan and accused Washington of giving in to Netanyahu’s demands.

“Netanyahu has always been the one who hindered the agreement and put forward new conditions and demands,” claimed Hamas, calling on “the US administration to change its policy of blind bias towards the Zionist war criminals.” Hamas also demanded that mediators get Israel to accept the initial proposal.
