jpnn.com – Persib Bandung this season has moved up a level by competing in the Asian arena in the AFC Champions League (ACL) 2 competition. Persib received this opportunity after they won the 2023/24 League 1 title.

In ACL 2, Persib is in Group F with Zhejiang FC (China), Port FC (Thailand), and Lion City Sailors FC (Singapore).

Persib’s schedule for the ACL 2 group phase starts from September 17 to December 5, 2024. The group champions and runners-up will compete in the last 16 (home-away), February 11-20, 2025.

Then, the quarter-finals will be held over two legs on March 4 and 13, 2024, the semi-finals over two legs on April 8 and 16, 2025, and the final over one leg on May 17, 2025.

In the group stage, Persib Bandung will play away and home games. Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Soreang, Bandung Regency was chosen to host the opposing team.

Persib coach Bojan Hodak said that the teams in Group F have a chance to win. Maung Bandung is also ready to compete to advance to the next round.

Hodak assessed that the team from China, namely Zhejiang FC, would be a difficult opponent for them to face.
