jpnn.com – Indonesian men’s doubles badminton player Leo Rolly Carnando talks about his new partner, Bagas Maulana at the 2024 Japan Open.
This BWF Super 750 tournament will mark Leo/Bagas’ debut on the international stage.
Previously, Leo was Daniel Marthin’s partner, while Bagas was Muhammad Shohibul Fikri’s partner.
Debuting with a new partner, Leo did not feel awkward. The 23-year-old badminton player admitted that they often train and play together at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center.
“Bagas and I often play together during training. So, there is no need to adapt anymore. We both feel happy with this new atmosphere,” said Leo.
In line with Leo, Bagas also felt that there was no need to adapt to his new partner. He was also enthusiastic about welcoming Leo as a tandem.
“With Leo, there is no problem. I am more enthusiastic with this new partner,” Bagas added.
The 2024 Japan Open tournament itself will start on August 20.
