Despite the cancellation of several projects by Transport Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens), high costs have already been incurred. Almost 150 million euros have already been spent on the construction of the Lobau tunnel and the other parts of the planned eastern bypass in Vienna, which was canceled by Environment and Transport Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens).
