Lucca, 21 August 2024 – Ethan Hawke will present the September 26thin Italian preview, at the Lucca film festival his latest film Wildcatin which he directs his daughter Maya, had with Uma Thurman. The American actor, screenwriter, director and writer will also receive the Golden Panther Award, hold a masterclass open to the public and will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Paul Schraderwho directed him in First Reformed.
The Lucca festival is also dedicating a large retrospective of films to him: you can see Dead Poets Society, Gattaca, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, Boyhood, Blaze and Seymour: An Introduction.
Hawke has received four Academy Award nominations: Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for Training Day, Best Adapted Screenplay in 2005 for Before Sunset, Best Supporting Actor in 2014 for Before Midnight, and Best Supporting Actor in 2015 for Boyhood.
