  • Borislav Dinkov refused to speak to the judge and lawyers, but told the murder defendant that there was pressure while testifying
  • The two blame each other for whose idea it was to throw out Dimitar Malinov’s phone and bury his body

The twin Borislav Dinkov and the defendant for the murder of Dimitar Malinov from Tsalapitsa, Rangel Bizyurev, will face each other. The purpose of the eye test is for the two to clarify why their versions of the night of the murder diverge. Twin Dinkov categorically refused to answer the questions of the court and the prosecution in the case.

Surprisingly, on the first day of hearings scheduled for questioning witnesses, the accused murderer gave an explanation of what happened. The 20-year-old Dinkov was also called to testify, but he remained silent and the magistrates had to read his previous interrogations – from July 27 and August 9 this year. Apart from the fact that there are differences between them, they also do not correspond with what was said by Bizyurev, who all the time spoke slowly and calmly, with details, as if he was not worried about anything.

On the fateful night, Borislav and Rangel were at a barbecue in the center of the Plovdiv village of Tsalapitsa. The defendant claims he drank two beers. His friend told him that Mitko insulted him the day before and therefore asked to meet and clarify. However, the twin stated in his testimony that Bizyurev met him with the information that he wanted to beat Malinov, and there was a bottle of gin next to him, which he drank. Borislav persuaded Dimitar to come out, and he and Rangel went to his house.

In the defendant’s story, he asked Mitko what he had said about him, but the young man refused to explain to him and behaved arrogantly. Therefore, Bizyurev pushed him several times, after which

punched him 4 times in the torso

and once with a knee to the stomach. Dimitar fell to the ground and asked him to stop because he had hit him badly.

Borislav, on the other hand, explained on July 27 that when Rangel saw Malinov, he got out of the car, started cursing and forcing him. He pummeled him with knees and fists while his opponent stood guard, begged him to stop and repeated that he had not said anything. At some point, Rangel grabbed him and slammed him into the tree and ladder next to the car. The fight lasted about three minutes. On further questioning, the twin added that he was

also saw fists flying towards Mitko’s head

After the fight was over, the two left, but then came back and saw Dimitar lying on the ground, meters below. Bizyurev saw that there were no signs of life. At that moment, according to his words, Borislav told him to take the victim’s phone to throw it away, and on the way the twin deleted information from the device. According to him, Rangel himself took him and told him which direction to drive.

The differences in the stories do not stop – according to the defendant, he was shocked by what happened and Dinkov told him to take the body outside the village to bury it, calling his brother Valentin on the way and calling him with a pickaxe and shovels. For his part, Borislav claims that Bizyurev told him to help pick up the body, then directed him and called the other twin.

Initially, Dinkov claimed that Rangel had dug himself, but later

changed his version and admitted that he was involved

After the burial, they covered the tracks with construction waste. In Bizyurev’s story, this happened, but the two twins did it alone, the next day, while he was already at sea. Although Rangel claimed that Mitko had no vital signs, he also admitted that the young man snored 1-2 times as they removed him from the car.

While flatly refusing to speak to the judge and lawyers, Dinkov answered Rangel’s questions. “Borislav, when you gave evidence, was there mental and physical pressure on you”, he asked and received a positive answer. However, the twin refused to explain what happened to him.

In the subsequent questions from Bizyurev, he denied seeing any blows to Mitko’s face or that Bizyurev himself put the body in the trunk and dug the hole.

After a whole day of questioning of witnesses, Rangel Bizyurev again wanted to give explanations, which gave rise to another contradiction between his version and that of Borislav. According to him, the two went through the twins’ home to pick up Valentin Dinkov, and the two brothers’ cars drove off together.

Since Bizyurev and Borislav Dinkov did not agree on all issues, a face-to-face meeting was reached, which will take place on Thursday, August 22, before the next questioning of witnesses.
