One person was killed when a truck overturned near Samayapuram.
Senthamizhchelvan (48), a laborer, hails from Marudo village near Samayapuram. Ilayaraja (32) and Prabhakaran (28) from the same village took the straw to a nearby village on Friday in a tractor. The tractor was driven by Muruganantham (35). Later, while returning home, Senthamizhselvan was killed when his truck overturned near a canal. Ilayaraja who was injured in the accident is receiving treatment. Samayapuram police are investigating the complaint.
