The work of this assembly, which was attended by Mr. Otmane Gair, President of the National Observatory of Human Development and member of the Council, was marked by the presentation of the main conclusions of the field study carried out by the Council on the “Pioneer Schools” program, indicates a press release from the CESE received by MAP on Saturday.
On this occasion, Mr Gair presented to the members of the EESC the conclusions of this study carried out at the request of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, which is structured around the perceptions of the stakeholders of a sample of public primary educational establishments concerned by the “Pioneer Schools” program in its trial phase during the 2023-2024 school year.
Analysis of the responses of the participants in this study revealed that the majority of them agree that the “Pioneer Schools” program constitutes an educational achievement and that it is appropriate to enhance its preliminary positive results and consolidate its achievements as a collective bet to promote public education in the years to come, said Mr. Gair.
The agenda of this session also included the approval of the draft Council opinion on the “Nexus in water-energy-food-environment systems: For a more efficient management of natural resources, a strengthening of synergies and a minimisation of intersectoral risks”.
This opinion aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the interconnection of these sectors in Morocco by analyzing their current state, assessing the level of integration and convergence of their governance systems and examining the challenges and opportunities related to adopting an approach based on their interconnection. The aim is to develop recommendations to achieve balances and promote cooperation, convergence and integration between public policies in order to meet current and future challenges in terms of human security, sustainability and resilience.
Furthermore, the EESC’s internal communication Intranet digital platform was presented on this occasion in order to familiarise the members of the Council with the various services and possibilities it offers in terms of sharing information and resources and improving internal communication and cooperation, according to the press release.
