The actor Tenoch Huerta reappears before the media and break the silence after the accusations of the saxophonist Maria Elena Rios.

After a year away from the media, Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta reappeared before the cameras and almost on the verge of tears acknowledged that his life and health have been affected following the accusations of saxophonist María Elena Ríos, victim of an acid attack.

On July 15, 2023, Malena accused Tenoch of having committed sexual abuse against her, after removing the condom without her consent.

“Acts that were initially consensual do not necessarily mean that they will continue to be consensual all the time, because removing a condom without warning is a crime of sexual assault, known in English as ‘stealthing.’”

Ríos also said that after speaking out, several colleagues approached her and told her stories from which she concluded that the “Black Panther” actor’s “modus operandi” for attacking women was:

“Looking for vulnerable women, making them feel admired, making them fall in love with them, gaining their trust, using them as a sexual trophy, forcefully stopping communication and disappearing, sometimes looking for them again but only for sex and ignoring them and not taking emotional responsibility in order to then victimize themselves.”

Following these statements, the 43-year-old actor had remained away from the spotlight, as the accusations have affected his mental health and he has even faced unemployment.

“On a personal level, if it is something that really hits you, wow, if I am honest with you, now that I am with you, after more than a year of not giving interviews and so on, I do feel that something is breaking inside…

The power of a lie can destroy you, it can end you, from a work perspective, job losses, I have lost jobs, I have lost friends, my family has been very hurt,” said Huerta, who even revealed that he has remained in psychological and psychiatric treatment and with legal advice in Mexico and the United States.

Although the actor was not involved in the courts because Ríos’ accusation was not upheld, he claimed to have suffered serious psychological and social repercussions.
