The Governments of El Salvador and China remain firm in promoting and strengthening their alliance of friendship and joint work, for the benefit of both peoples.
With this objective, the Vice-Chancellor of the Republic, Adriana Mira, is in the Asian nation to develop an agenda that will allow for further strengthening bilateral dialogue, as well as economic and cooperation relations, within the framework of the sixth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The diplomat held a meeting with authorities from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which the progress achieved through this relationship was discussed, as well as the opportunities to continue advancing together in strategic areas.
In this regard, Vice-Chancellor Mira expressed her gratitude for the support received from that nation for the execution of key projects in areas such as infrastructure, water purification and sanitation, agriculture, tourism, culture, sports, trade and education, among others.
In this regard, both parties reiterated their interest in continuing to direct efforts that contribute to the development of El Salvador and the well-being of the population.
The delegation met with representatives of the China International Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), a specialized agency with which it has had a close relationship for the implementation and execution of the aforementioned initiatives, which include the construction of the dock at the port of La Libertad, the National Library of El Salvador (BINAES) and the water treatment plant on Lake Ilopango.
In this space, future projects were also discussed, as well as the desire to continue walking hand in hand in the realization of high-impact works, based on the identification of new opportunities for cooperation, a proposal that was well received by the authorities of said Agency.
