Romanian authorities seized a number of luxury cars today belonging to controversial influencers and former kickboxers Andrew and Tristan Tate, who are being investigated on new charges of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, News.ro reports.
The property of the Tate brothers seized today was frozen in a new case in which the two are suspected of human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with minors, money laundering and more.
According to prosecutors from the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), Andrew Tate, 37, and his brother Tristan, 36, who hold British and American citizenship, along with other members of a criminal group formed around them, since 2015 . have so far forced 34 women to produce pornographic material, which they then distributed for a fee on specialized platforms.
“The material benefits thus obtained by the defendants as a result of the sexual exploitation of the victims are estimated at over 2,800,000 US dollars and 887,000 tokens,” the investigators stated.
One of the Tate brothers is suspected of making $1.5 million from the exploitation of a young foreign national girl who was 17 at the time of her abduction. He is also accused of repeatedly having sexual contact and sexual acts with a minor victim, aged 15, since December 2020, writes BTA.
Earlier this week, the court imposed a measure of “house arrest” on Andrew Tate, and the lighter measure of “judicial control” on his brother Tristan.
In this case, 16 cars and one motorcycle were impounded, all of them from the luxury category, and some of the vehicles have already been seized, notes “Libertatya”.
