The superstar Sverre Nypan secured a resounding victory for RBK with a Sverre Nypan with a hat trick against Lillestrøm.
But once again, the match between the two teams had to be halted. For after about two minutes, the match between RBK and LSK had to be stopped.
The teams played for empty stands after the previous match was halted due to several VAR protests.
But despite the spectator restrictions, a group of RBK supporters showed up outside one of the open corners with drums, flares, and songs.
And smoke from the flares filled Lerkendal, causing the match to be stopped.
Shortly after, the match resumed and ended with a 4–0 victory for the home team.
The supporters were banned from the stands but still managed to stop the match.

– Worthless to play without an audience
The match between RBK and LKS was held in front of empty stands on Wednesday evening. This was the penalty Rosenborg received because the match against Lillestrøm could not be finished on July 21.
– I find it completely worthless to play without an audience in the stadium.
This is what RBK coach Alfred Johansson told NRK after the match.
– I hope we never have to experience that again, he added.
That a group came and watched the match from the outside is described by Johansson as fantastic.
Also, the public relations manager at RBK, Pernille Sørlie, says it means a lot for the players to have spectators in the stands.
– We are looking forward to being back on September 1 when we meet Molde.
RBK supporters gathered outside the stadium.

Threw fish cakes onto the pitch
On July 21, the supporters protested against video refereeing and threw fish cakes and tennis balls onto the field.
And ultimately, the referee chose to cancel the match.
– I think it’s sad for football. We are also here because we want the game to be played and the match to take place.
This was said by referee Rohit Saggi to NRK after the canceled match.
The match between Rosenborg and Lillestrøm was halted after VAR protests involving fish cakes, flares, and tennis balls.
The referee had enough of the tossing of fish cakes, flares, and tennis balls onto the field and canceled the match when 30 minutes were on the clock.
The Norwegian Football Association decided that the league match should be replayed, but as a penalty, they had to play the match in front of empty stands.
The supporters must renovate the club house
The supporters who threw fish cakes and tennis balls onto the pitch during the match against Lillestrøm are being sanctioned by Rosenborg.
RBK punishes the involved supporters in the VAR protests: They must help renovate Rosenborg’s club house, Brakka.
The task includes scraping, cleaning, and painting Brakka. A job estimated to cost about 400,000 kroner, the club stated on its own website.
– This is a historic event in Norwegian football, and it influences the club’s choice of form for sanctions, said Tore Berdal, the club’s general manager.
The club writes that individual supporters were very active in smuggling in tennis balls and distributing them in the stands.
– The protest was not directed at the club, but there is no doubt that it is Rosenborg that is left with the consequences.
The involved supporters have been given a deadline until October 1 to complete the work.
