Arūnas Dumalak. Why did the minister draw a dash instead of a line?

by times news cr

He has already answered many times to questions about the vicissitudes of buying real estate abroad, doubts about the price.

In fact, it may not be worth stirring up a scandal again.

But this time, not about him or privacy issues, but about the dash.

The head of diplomacy chose the Lithuanian word “dash” rather than the international “line” obviously consciously.

Because the lines have recently been drawn by the politicians of the great powers. A couple of months ago, the ruler of Russia, V. Putin, explained what strikes by Western weapons on Russian territory would be considered a crossing of red lines.

In March, French President E. Macron’s statement about the possible sending of ground forces to Ukraine also redrew the red lines in Russia’s war with Ukraine. This is how security experts commented on the words of this politician.

The Pentagon has also repeatedly drawn red lines in this war, the last one being the use of F-16 fighter jets. Chinese President Xi Jinping also drew such lines.

Therefore, G. Landsbergis draws a line for the noise, which in his assessment is based only on curiosity, but not the line that politicians draw when talking about war.

It is said that the questions of politicians regarding the purchase of a villa at the beginning of 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine and there were fears of a threat to Lithuania, have been answered.

But is it really so? Let’s remember the doubts of President G.Nausėdas whether G.Landsbergis is suitable for the European Commissioner’s seat: “I would really be uncomfortable if, in the event of some internal crisis in the European Commission, they would call Lithuania and ask – where has Gabrielius Landsbergis gone?”

Is it still a dash or a line that defined a villa in Greece in these turbulent times, the conservative leader G. Landsbergis?
