/ Today, Wednesday, the draw for the Iraq Cup Championship/Round 32 was held at the headquarters of the Football Association.
The draw was held in the presence of the First Vice President of the Federation, Ali Jabbar, and the members of the Executive Office, Ghaleb Al-Zamili and Ahmed Al-Moussawi, the Director of the Competitions Committee, Dr. Firas Mutasher, and representatives of the participating clubs. The twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh of this month were set as the date for the start of the matches of the 32nd round.
After welcoming the attendees, the First Vice President of the Iraqi Football Association, Ali Jabbar, said: The Football Association seeks to have the Cup Championship at a level befitting Iraqi football through legitimate competition between the clubs.
He stressed that the tournament is important and widely followed, and that the clubs are the main partner with the Federation in raising the technical level of the game, noting that the tournament matches will be held in licensed stadiums.
The head of the Competitions Committee, Dr. Firas Mutasher, spoke about the mechanism for participation in this tournament and the system that will be applied in it, noting that: The teams will play in a knockout system and resort to penalty kicks to decide the result after the match ends in a draw.
