During her visit to the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, accompanied by the majority of the members of her Government Cabinet, the capital’s next governor, Clara Brugada, said that urban growth cannot be allowed to continue in areas classified as conservation areas.

“We are going to move forward on the issue of regularizing land ownership. There are many places that are consolidated (…) we are not going to allow further growth in the conservation areas,” he said.

In this regard, the elected head of government called on society to realize the importance of some spaces, mainly those that are green areas such as in the Álvaro Obregón municipality.

“We have to realize that here in Álvaro Obregón there is the Agua Forest, so there should be no growth in the conservation areas,” said Brugada.

It should be noted that since her election campaign, the next head of government has placed special emphasis on this area, mainly as a priority point for the Metropolitan Water Plan that she plans to implement from Mexico City in coordination with surrounding states and with support from the Federal level.
