The Najaf Airport Administration announced today, Sunday, that it received more than 1,500 flights from various countries since the beginning of the month of Safar, until the day of the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
The airport administration stated in a statement to the (INA), “There are exceptional efforts by the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation Management, as the dispatching process witnessed from the first day of the current Hijri month of Safar until today, Sunday, the 20th of Safar, intensive air traffic in which more than 1,500 flights were received from various countries.”
She added, “More than 210 thousand visitors who came to visit the father of the free, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), were dispatched, and the dispatching process for the arrivals has ended.”
She added, “There will be a reverse deployment of these numbers, and flights are continuing at Iraqi airports amidst the readiness of the crews, in addition to a full alert for the rest of the formations of the Ministry of Transport.”
