On the morning of this Friday, August 23, at 7:30 a.m., an articulated bus and a concrete mixer truck were involved in a traffic accident on Suba Avenue – transversal 76 with 130th Street heading west – east, in the Gratamira sector, which has caused complications in mobility in the locality of Suba.

Emergency, mobility, and health agencies responded to the incident and assessed 21 people who were traveling on the TransMilenio bus and suffered bruises and minor injuries following the collision of the public transport vehicle with the concrete mixer truck.
Due to this traffic accident, during the morning and part of the afternoon on Friday, August 23, there were delays in the operation of TransMilenio, especially on the trunk line of Suba Avenue.

It is important to note that the Local Mayor’s Office of Suba, with its risk team, activated emergency protocols in response to the accident that occurred in the Gratamira area.
With the support of TransMilenio managers, Trust Managers, and support teams, assistance and orientation were provided to users.
Drivers of private vehicles are advised to take alternative routes such as 170th Street and Rincón Avenue to enter and exit the locality of Suba.
Additionally, district authorities set up a Unified Command Post (PMU) to coordinate support and mobility actions, which allowed for the complete reopening of the road at 3:21 p.m.
In light of the presented facts, TransMilenio highlighted:
TransMilenio S.A. regrets the accident in which, according to initial reports, 21 people were injured, fortunately none seriously, when a trunk bus was hit by a concrete mixer truck.
