Dharamshala: Team India sweeps T20I series against Sri Lanka (India vs Sri Lanka T20Is) with world record. With their 12th consecutive win in International T20, Team India, along with Afghanistan and Romania, have won the most consecutive T20I wins in children’s cricket.

India have not tasted defeat in the T20 format since November 2021. India started the group stage of the T20 World Cup in the UAE by defeating Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia. This was followed by a whitewash of New Zealand in November and the West Indies and Sri Lanka in February.

Good luck to India

Shreyas Iyer’s batting prowess helped India sweep the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Shreyas scored an unbeaten half-century (73 * off 45 balls) in the third match in a row as India won by six wickets. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 146 for five in the allotted overs. In reply, India chased down the target by four wickets in 16.5 overs. Sanju Samson was out for 18 runs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 74 by skipper Dasun Shanaka (74 not out off 38 balls). They lost five wickets. Avesh Khan dropped two. Team India won the first T20 by 62 runs and the second by seven wickets. Shreyas Iyer is the star of the series. Shreyas was unbeaten on 57 off 28 balls in the first T20I and 74 off 44 balls in the second.
