/ The member of the Iraqi Federation, Firas Bahr Al-Ulum, confirmed today, Tuesday, that his new work as an advisor to the Naft Al-Wasat Club does not conflict with his work in the Iraqi Football Federation.
Bahr Al-Ulum said in an interview with Shafak News Agency, “His work as an advisor is not considered a duality of positions, and he has the right to practice it neutrally.”
He added, “His appointment as an advisor to the Central Oil Club came at the behest of the Director General of the Oil Pipelines Company, Ali Al-Moussawi, who issued a ministerial order assigning me to the task as I am an employee in the ministry.”
He pointed out that “my work in the government job is a private aspect and does not fall under sports or dual sports work, and that the order I received from the Ministry of Oil must be implemented as part of my government work.”
He pointed out that “there are many important names in the football and sports community who work as administrators in their sports institutions as well as in their government departments.”
The club’s management decided to seek the help of “former board member and current Football Association member Firas Bahr Al-Uloom, due to his accumulated experience in helping to rescue the team from the bottom of the Premier League football teams during the winter transfers.”
