The French airline “Air France” announced today that it is suspending flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut at least until tomorrow, August 26, due to the escalation of tensions between Israel and Lebanon, BTA and France Press reported.
Due to the situation, flights for today and tomorrow have been cancelled, a representative of the air carrier said. At the same time, he noted that the deadline can be extended, specifying that an assessment of the current situation will be made tomorrow.
After the end of the novel coronavirus pandemic, Air France usually operates one flight a day to these destinations. It suspended flights between Paris and Beirut between July 29 and August 15, but had not recently suspended flights to Tel Aviv, AFP noted.
The largest European airline – the German Lufthansa (Lufthansa) announced the day before yesterday that, due to the danger of deepening the conflict in the region, it is extending until September 30 the period for which its flights to Beirut are suspended, and until September 2 for those to Tel Aviv and Tehran.

“Security has always been our absolute priority,” a spokesperson for the airline emphasized.
The Israel Civil Aviation Authority announced this morning that flights to and from Tel Aviv have resumed after departures were delayed and landings diverted to other airports in the country.
