Tamil Nadu students must be released soon: Stalin talks with Union Minister

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has appealed to the Union Minister of External Affairs over the phone to release the Tamil Nadu students in Ukraine as soon as possible.

The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various steps to bring students from Ukraine to Tamil Nadu soon.

The Chief Minister had a telephone conversation with Union Foreign Minister Jaishankar today.

The Chief Minister then requested that details of the Tamil students in Ukraine be provided and that food, accommodation and security be provided to them and that steps be taken to bring them back as soon as possible and that a special officer be appointed for this purpose.

The Union Foreign Minister has assured the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu that the Government of India is taking all necessary steps to repatriate Tamil Nadu students as soon as possible and that they will be repatriated soon.
