Lamia stood firm in the OPAP Arena thanks to a heroic effort in defense, ending the match in a 1-1 draw with AEK. Furtado gave the visitors the lead in the 39th minute, while Moukoudi equalized in the 89th minute.
AEK took a step back as they failed to overcome Lamia’s obstacle, with both teams earning a point from the 1-1 draw thanks to the goals from Furtado and Moukoudi.

The players of Marinos Satsias took the lead in the score during their first chance in the match at the 39th minute. Furtado received the ball in the area and with a nice shot sent it deep into Strakosha’s net.
AEK equalized with Moukoudi in the 87th minute after a free-kick by Lamela and tried for a comeback but couldn’t manage it.
The yellow-blacks hit the woodwork twice in stoppage time. In the 90+2′, after a cross from Eliason, the ball hit the post following Janoutzos and Kostić’s failure to clear. In the 90+5′, Koita took a nice shot from outside the box, but the ball hit the post.
Lamia shocked AEK
AEK entered the match with the initiative, yet struggled to create chances against Lamia’s well-organized defense.
The first shot from the yellow-blacks came in the 15th minute. Amrabat took the corner from the right and Moukoudi’s great header forced Kostić into a crucial save. In the 26th minute, Koita tried a nice shot from outside the box, but Kostić jumped in time to deflect it to a corner.
The hosts continued to pressure their opponents’ goal without creating too many chances. In the 29th minute, Livai Garcia tried a poor shot, while Pineda’s header missed the target in the 38th. A minute later, Lamia found the net with Furtado’s nice finish inside the area.
AEK attempted to equalize before the end of the first half and had some opportunities, particularly with Garcia, but it stayed 1-0 until halftime.
AEK salvaged a point and hit two posts at the end
The second half continued in the same pattern with AEK pressing as they chased the score. The first attempts from Koita and Garcia in the 47th and 49th minutes were off target, with the ball going wide in both cases.
In the 55th minute, Garcia found himself in a scoring position inside the area, but Kornezos snatched the chance from him. As time passed, the hosts continued to pick up the pace. In the 61st minute, after a quick throw-in from Amrabat, Garcia found a shooting opportunity but was stopped by Kostić.
In the 67th minute, Koita had options but chose to shoot from outside the area, sending the ball wide. Matias Almeida’s players kept threatening their opponents’ goal with numerous shots until the end. In the 70th minute, Lamela found a chance but sent his shot high.
In the 74th and 75th minutes, Kostić made crucial saves against Eliason and Onubajo’s attempts. In the 87th minute, the equalizing goal came from Moukoudi following a Lamela free-kick.
In stoppage time, the yellow-blacks hit the woodwork twice. In the 90+2′, after a cross from Eliason, the ball hit Janoutzos and Kostić’s legs and then the post. Three minutes later, Koita sent a beautiful shot that hit Kostić’s post.
