A man was found dead last night on the beach in Nerja. According to sources from the 112-Andalusia emergency service SUR, a witness reported at around 9:00 p.m. that he had found the body of a man who appeared to be dead on the beach of Caraballo, in the Mirador del Bendito area.
Apparently, he was a man in his 50s. Thus, operators immediately mobilized the Health Emergency Center 061, the Civil Guard, the local police and the Nerja Civil Protection from the Coordination Room.
Police sources told 112 that the deceased, who was clothed, died by drowning. No further information has been released regarding their identities or the circumstances under which they died.
The body was taken to Buriana, where the judicial commission – composed of the judge on duty, the Administration of Justice (LAJ) lawyer and the forensic doctor – proceeded to remove the body.
