Mumbai: Former India captain Wasim Jaffer has suggested the name of the youngster to be included in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup. In the first match of the T20 series against Sri Lanka, Jaffer insisted that Ishant Kishan, who scored a fifties half-century, should definitely be included in the World Cup. Kishan was India’s top scorer with 89 off 56 balls in the first T20I match against Sri Lanka.
‘The half-century against Sri Lanka was a relief to Kishan, who has not been able to shine as an opener in the last few matches. Malayalee player Sanju Samson was included in the squad for the T20 series against Sri Lanka after Kishan’s color faded in the series against the West Indies. He says this has increased the pressure on the young star.
