Rapid developments in the case of the death of the 19-year-old at the amusement park in Pefkochori, Halkidiki. The head of the Thessaloniki Court of Appeals, Nikos Kallidis, has requested, in an intervention, that the prosecutor of Polygyros personally oversee the three investigations currently underway regarding the amusement park and the events that occurred there.
It is noted that a triple prosecutorial investigation is ongoing regarding the case.
The first investigation concerns the accident itself, the second the operating status of the amusement park, and the third the certifications and attestations it received to operate both this year and in previous years.
According to information, the investigations will seek criminal responsibilities in all directions. According to the same information, in addition to the owner of the amusement park and the operator of the fatal ride, representatives of the local authority, engineers who are said to have certified the suitability of the machinery, etc., will also be in the “frame” of responsibilities.
The father of the unfortunate 19-year-old, Giannis, visited the prosecutor’s office in Polygyros earlier to submit documents which, according to his claims, prove the relationship of the municipality of Kassandra with the entrepreneur.
The father of the late 19-year-old talks about direct assignments from the Municipality of Kassandra, Halkidiki to the owner of the amusement park. “I now have, officially with public documents, the relationship of the municipality with this specific entrepreneur, with direct assignments from ’21 without signatures and without going through a decision from the municipal council. There is a relationship between the municipality and this specific entrepreneur for at least the last 4 years with direct assignments and payment orders,” he stated yesterday after the memorial service for his 19-year-old son.
