The condition of Lake Karla, which emerged after the deadly floods from the bad weather Daniel about a year ago, resembles scenes from a movie set. The water has begun to recede completely and the destruction becomes apparent.
The area of Karla that was affected by the floods last September currently presents an improved image.
The water level, in other words, seems to have begun to drop, with estimates suggesting that in a month from now there will be no water left from the flood.

At the same time, the water that has been flowing from the Karla dam towards the Pagasitikos has led thousands of tons of dead fish into the sea.
The Thessaly region and the Volos Port Authority decided today, Tuesday (27/8), to close the dam in Karla and start the titanic effort to collect the dead fish by private boats in the Pagasitikos and by contractors via Xirias, where a net was also placed by the OLV from the Diminiou bridge towards the outlet of the waters at Bourmoulithra.
