The Guri City Youth Foundation (CEO Kang Jong-il) Youth Culture Center will hold a special sharing and environmental activity festival for youth, ‘With Festa’, on Saturday, August 31st from 11:00 to 15:00 at the Guri City Youth Culture Center.
This festival was created to provide opportunities for youth to increase their interest in the local community and the environment and to communicate and cooperate with each other through various sharing activities. It is a program selected for the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization’s Small Festival Promotion Support Project and is supported by the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization.
The festival consists of five themes. The first theme, ▲With Market, is a place where youth families in Guri City participate as flea market vendors and engage in sharing activities. The second theme, ▲With Music, is a performance stage where youth can showcase their skills and talents, and various performances such as music and dance will be held. The third theme, ▲With It, is a finger food sharing activity using smart farm crops, a specialized project of the Guri City Youth Culture Center. The plan is to share finger foods made from crops grown by youth themselves and inform them of the importance of healthy eating habits and environmental protection. The fourth theme, ▲With Us, is a climate change and environmental education activity where youth think about the future. It is a place where youth raise awareness of environmental issues and pledge to practice for a sustainable future through various activities related to the environment. Lastly, ▲With Guri is a Guri City promotional activity where local residents and youth of Guri City come together. It is planned to provide an opportunity for the local community and youth to come together and promote the various charms of Guri City and feel pride as members of the local community.
Guri Youth Foundation Chairman Baek Gyeong-hyeon said, “I hope that this ‘With Festa’ will be an opportunity for youth to realize the importance of sharing and environmental protection and become closer to the local community.”
Youth and families in Guri City who wish to participate should check the notice on the Guri City Youth Culture Center website, register for pre-application activities, and visit. For further information, contact the Guri City Youth Culture Center (031-522-4656).
