Gwalior: A new state-of-the-art shooting range has been built in the city with the aim of encouraging youth towards sports. This range has been named after Indian shooter and two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reached Gwalior and inaugurated it.

During the inauguration ceremony, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia himself inspected the shooting range and took stock of the facilities available there. He also practiced shooting. On this occasion, Scindia interacted with Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker through video call and told her that this new shooting range has been named after her.
Fully equipped academy
Scindia also inaugurated other sports facilities such as newly built cricket turf and swimming pool at Jiwaji Club in Gwalior. He said that this shooting range equipped with modern facilities has been built to promote sports in Gwalior, where young players will get high level training.
The Union Minister himself fired an air rifle
Scindia himself practiced shooting by firing an air rifle and ensured that all the facilities of the range are suitable for the players. Along with this, he also talked to Manu Bhaker’s parents on video call. Scindia also shared this special occasion on his social media handle. He tweeted and informed about this new initiative and called it a big step in the field of sports.
