/ The prices of “foreign and Iraqi” gold stabilized in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Sunday, January 28, 2023.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning a selling price for one mithqal of 21 karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold of 424 thousand dinars, and a purchase price of 420 thousand dinars.

Our correspondent indicated that the selling price of one mithqal of 21-karat Iraqi gold was recorded at 394 thousand dinars, and the purchase price was 390 thousand.

As for gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a mithqal of 21-karat Gulf gold ranges between 425,000 and 435,000 dinars, while the selling price of a mithqal of Iraqi gold ranges between 395,000 and 405,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of a mithqal of 24-karat gold was recorded at 500,000 dinars, 22-karat gold was sold at 460,000 dinars, 21-karat gold was sold at 440,000 dinars, and 18-karat gold was sold at 380,000 dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.

The dollar price fell this morning, Sunday, in the markets of Baghdad and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said that the dollar prices decreased with the opening of Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges to record 151,150 Iraqi dinars for every 100 dollars, while the prices yesterday, Saturday, were 151,400 dinars for every 100 dollars.
