TRENTO. The Carabinieri of the Operational Department of the Provincial Command of Trento, supported by those of the Lavarone Carabinieri Station, have closed the circle on the serious fire that occurred in August 2023 which had reduced the famous “Vaia Dragon” created by the artist Martalar in Lavarone, Trentino.
The military, thanks to a meticulous investigative activity conducted through the investigative cross-referencing of the images of the license plate reading system of the municipalities of Lavarone and Folgaria with the cells of the telephone records and the statements of the testimony they managed to identify the alleged perpetrator of the unfortunate event, namely a young man living outside Trentino, an occasional visitor to the area, with particular behavioral weaknesses that would be at the basis of the gesture and which led to the archiving of the case.
Ultimately, the hypotheses that had been put forward from the very beginning were completely ruled out, including the accidental one due to a cigarette butt thrown by mistake, or the prevailing one according to which the perpetrator of the crime could have been some local resident annoyed by the large number of tourists that the work has attracted over the years.
