/ The Lebanese Hezbollah condemned, on Saturday, the US attack on several areas in Iraq and Syria, while indicating that the US attacks contribute to “fueling and expanding” the conflict in the region.
The party said in a statement received by Agency, “It strongly condemns the blatant American aggression on Iraq and Syria, which targeted several areas in the two countries and led to the deaths of a number of martyrs and wounded.”
He added that “what the United States of America did is a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the two countries and an assault on their security and territorial integrity, and a brazen transgression of all international and humanitarian laws,” indicating that “this new aggression contributes to destabilizing the region and creating flimsy justifications and pretexts for the continuation of the American occupation of several areas in Iraq and Syria against the will of their peoples who yearn for freedom and independence.”
The party stated in its statement that “the American aggression on Iraq, Syria and Yemen exposes the falsehood of American claims that it does not want to expand the conflict in the region, and on the contrary, it contributes to fueling conflict and tension and escalating wars in the region.”
The party continued, saying, “We believe that this criminal aggression pushes the Iraqi and Syrian peoples to adhere to the approach of resistance to liberate their countries from the American occupation and to continue supporting and backing the oppressed Gaza Strip until the Zionist aggression and its crimes are stopped.”
