At the end of this week, the Olympic qualification tournament will take place in Riga, where the winners of the tournament will get a ticket to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy.
The live broadcasts will start on Thursday at 16:00, when you can watch the game between France and Ukraine, while the first game of the Latvian hockey team will be at 20:00 against the Slovenian team.
On Friday at 4 p.m. the France-Slovenia game will be shown, and at 8 p.m. the Latvia-Ukraine game. On the other hand, on Sunday at 1 p.m. you will be able to watch the match Slovenia – Ukraine, and at 5 p.m. – Latvia – France.
The municipality states that Doma Square will be adapted and improved for public viewing of live broadcasts, benches and a large screen will be placed.
Latvia, France, Slovenia and Ukraine will compete in this tournament. The ticket to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, will be won by the strongest team in the final round of this qualification.
