The Central Bank of Libya addressed commercial banks to receive the salary portfolios for the month of August 2024 for all public entities, ministries, sectors and institutions funded by the public treasury and to transfer them to their beneficiaries, provided that the deduction is made from the accounts of those entities with the guarantee of the accounts of the Ministry of Finance with the Central Bank.
The Central Bank explained that it will cover the values allocated to each sector, calling on bank managers to take the necessary measures in this regard.
Today, Wednesday, the acting governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Abdel Fattah Ghaffar, resumed work in the bank’s operations department, after employees resumed their work following the completion of the handover process.
Ghaffar urged the bank’s department managers and employees to continue working at a high pace, complete transactions as quickly as possible, and begin disbursing salaries for the current month of August, in addition to addressing the obstacles placed by the previous administration.
