Moscow: Russia has given its reaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Ukraine. Russia has also said that it is ready to continue dialogue with its Indian friends on the issue of Ukraine. This statement of Russia has come after the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin two days ago.

Responding to a question, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, “We respect India as an influential world power that continues to pursue an independent foreign policy in line with its national interests. We value Russia-India friendship as a special privileged strategic partner.” The statement further said, “We see Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kiev as an attempt to make a practical contribution to the political and diplomatic solution of the Ukrainian crisis. We also recognize the efforts of other countries, which are taking an impartial balanced stance.”
