Drones support reforestation of the botanical garden by Otis
With the support of drones began the Reforestation work at the Esther Pliego de Salinas Botanical Gardenof Acapulco with the idea of recover the vegetation that suffered damage due to the passage of the hurricane Otis.
According to garden coordinator Kay Mendieta, Otis’ impact damaged up to 70 percent of the site’s vegetation. This included:

- Endemic and native species with significant representation in the world
In addition, 387 specimens were damaged by the force of the rain and wind in Otis, but they have been trying to recover the flora of this place for several months.

Also the chemical engineer Abraham Rico Cano, who heads this project explained that the Drones will launch thousands of special capsules with seeds -which were developed by him- and which have special substances, substrates, moisturizing gel and repellents that help the seeds survive.
