(ANSA) – ANCONA, 30 AUG – AST Ancona, as per regional directives, is working to guarantee citizens the provision of outpatient specialist visits and exams within certain waiting times.
The ‘Taking Charge Lists’ are active, in which citizens who request a service are entered in the event that this, at the time of contact, cannot be satisfied in the province of residence.
The “taking charge” occurs compatibly with the possible availability with respect to the offer in the location closest to the patient’s home, always taking into consideration mainly the priority assigned in the request by the general practitioner or specialist who prescribed.
The priority classes, these can be: B (visit within 10 days); D (30-60 days); P programmable (within 6 months). Patients are therefore offered the first available appointment with respect to the prescribed priority, but the patient can refuse by requesting to be registered in the guarantee lists from which they will then be contacted by the operators in charge of the waiting lists.
What is looked at, in the first step, is therefore the priority prescribed by the GP or specialist: since these are health services, the first availability is proposed to the patient as the fundamental data is to respond to the indications of the prescribing doctor to respect the timing of the health need, also considering the extreme attention with which the operators of the waiting lists, after the priorities, also verify age, fragility, domicile precisely to give a more adherent response to the health need.
