Red Castle

The red rock that enters deep into the sea harmoniously combines with the green trees of the hills, the deep blue water, the stones, the pebbles, and the sand of the beach that blends various shades – from gray, to white, and yellow. The beach offers sunbeds and plenty of free space for your umbrella, but we believe that the best shade is provided by the pines.

Gyalia

Located on the western side of the island, it is ideal if you desire tranquility and not crowds, as it does not have a beach bar or sunbeds. The waters of this small bay are crystal clear, and access to Gyalia is via a passable dirt road.

Saint Demetrius

It is the most famous beach on the island and one of the most beautiful in the Sporades. It is located roughly in the middle of Alonissos, on the eastern side. It has deep blue waters, pebbles, and a portion is organized with umbrellas. Because the beach has two fronts – there is a corner approximately in the middle – you can choose a side, depending on the direction of the wind.

Rousoum Gialos

The waters are deep blue and refreshing, while the shore is pebbly. A short distance away, you will find many tavernas and cafes for food and coffee.

Leftos Gialos

A beach that looks as if taken from a postcard due to its gray rocks and fine pebbles, while offering a wonderful view of two uninhabited islets. You will reach it either by road or by boat in a sea route that lasts about 40 minutes and offers stunning landscapes.

Votsi

Next to Rousoum Gialos is a small beach with fine pebbles and natural shade from the trees. This beach is close to the picturesque harbor of the fishing village with the same name. In our opinion, it is one of the most charming corners of Alonissos.

Gerakas

It is located in the northern part of Alonissos. Here, the landscape is not as green and the pebbles are larger, but anyone seeking tranquility will be rewarded. The wonderful seabed of the beach is suitable for snorkeling and diving.
