GG Jackson II of the Memphis Grizzlies suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal of the right foot and will undergo surgery in the next few days. The injury occurred during a training match, as specified by the team, the recovery time for the player is not yet known.
The 20-year-old South Carolina product was selected by the Grizzlies at 2023 NBA draft with the number 45 pick in the second round, and in his rookie season he finished with 14.6 points average in 48 gamesfinding space in the second part of the season with the Grizzlies out of the playoff race. GG Jackson II was included at the end of the year in the Second Rookie Quintet NBA.
